J & Kendra Tingle, Chattanooga, Alex Brannon

After settling in to Goose Pond Marina, we performed some maintenance on boats and visited with our friends Jim and Joan on CHRISTiNE. Goose Pond Marina is in Scottsboro, Alabama and is a very nice facility. You can see more of the marina and area on the Goose Pond Colony website www.goosepond.org.

Jim and Joan stayed with us for almost a month before heading on down to the gulf. We were sad to say goodbye to them and hope to see them again in the future.

J. Tingle and his wife Kendra visited with us and we took the boat out for a run up the river.

While we were underway we saw a deer swimming across the river.

We had a very good visit. It is always a pleasure to have them on board.

We went back to Athens for Thanksgiving and had a great visit with family. We visited both families and were able to spend time with Stacy's sister and her family from Pennsylvania.

After returning from Thanksgiving, we made a trip up the river to Chattanooga. This is a beautiful part of the Tennessee River even though we had passed the peak of the color change.

While in Chattanooga Clarence and Sally Wall came to see us and had dinner with us on the aft deck. We walked around town and enjoyed our time there.

On the way back we went through a large flock of ducks that were migrating. This time of year there are thousands of ducks on the river.

After we got back to Goose Pond Marina we got a call that our first Great Nephew had been born. This past weekend we went back to Athens to see many of our Nieces and Nephews in a play and were able to go by to see Alex. We are hoping to have Daniel, Daira and Alex visit us again.

Last year we spent Christmas in Vero Beach so we will go back to Athens on the 21st to spend Christmas with family. We hope everyone has a great Christmas and remembers the true meaning of the holiday.
